Senior Gleaners Inc, is a unique ALL VOLUNTEER nonprofit
501(c)(3)organization. Our members enjoy an average age of 73.
Over 800 members collect food and household products from markets, farms, and
distribution centers, then warehouse them by sorting, cleaning, and boxing for
distribution. These activities are supported by an in house print shop, a
direct mail center, a data processing center and a plant operations facility.
Last year Senior Gleaners supplied over 13 million pounds of food and household
supplies to over 135 charities in 5 counties.
Additionally, Senior Gleaners depends on cash donations
for the purchase of infant formulas, baby food and diapers. More than .99¢
of every dollar collected goes to feed the hungry. For every $1 donated,
volunteers create over $50 worth of service to our community.
